The tenth volume of Collected Essays on Learning and Teaching (CELT) contains the re-worked, peer reviewed, edited papers originally presented at the 2016 annual meeting of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) in London, ON, with the theme Empowering Learning, Effecting Change. The editors have grouped the papers into four sections: I. Empowering Teaching; II. Implementing Change; III. Empowering Learners; IV. Effective Learning. The editors invite readers to examine how we can effect change to empower learning.
